Konu: Official Inquiry Regarding Systematic Delays and Discriminatory Practices in Citizenship Applications
To the Members of the Serbian National Assembly / Relevant Committees,
I am contacting you as the descendant of a living citizen of the Republic of Serbia to formally address a grave injustice regarding the “right of blood” (jus sanguinis) citizenship process.
The current administrative reality has evolved into a systematic tool of discrimination. It is a documented and unacceptable fact that applicants applying from Turkiye are subjected to a decade-long state of uncertainty. Forcing legitimate descendants from this specific region to wait 8 to 9 years—only to issue a negative decision after a decade of their lives has passed—is not a “process”; it is a denial of legal rights based on geographical and national origin.
I wish to bring the following points of systemic unfairness to your immediate attention:
• Regional Discrimination: How does the Serbian administration justify a decade-long wait for those with direct ancestral ties specifically from Turkiye, while citizenship is granted significantly faster to other foreign nationals?
• Institutionalized Inequality: A legal right that cannot be exercised within a reasonable timeframe is a right denied. This intentional “administrative wall” targeted at Turkish citizens serves as a barrier to the rule of law.
• Obstruction of Integration: As someone who intends to settle in Serbia and contribute to my ancestral homeland, I find this systematic neglect of Turkish-Serbian descendants to be a direct affront to the values of justice.
I am seeking a clear explanation as to why this systematic delay exists specifically for applicants from Turkiye and what is being done to ensure that we are not subjected to this decade-long uncertainty.
I expect a transparent and professional clarification regarding these procedures.
Sincerely,
Şu sayfaya giren herkes bir mail atsa çok ciddi fark atarız diye düşünüyorum. Lütfen arkadaşlar herkes mail atsın.
